Rattler Ridge Pool House

-Mosier, Oregon Design/Build
-Approximately 1200 square feet
-Fox Block ICF/Stick Frame Construction

Project started in the Summer of 2012 and was completed in the Winter of 2012. The pool house was designed by Sorensen Construction, Inc.. The house rests on a large parcel on a hillside facing East down the Columbia Gorge in Mosier. The pool house is sited below the main house requiring an aesthically pleasing structure/deck/pool area due to complete exposure. Some of the main features of the Pool House Construction include the following:

-Insulated Concrete Forms for 1st floor walls.
-Engineered floor system with Bamboo flooring on entire 2nd floor.
-All windows and doors are aluminum clad with Low E/Argon.
-Pre-stained/Panelized shake siding on South side to match main house.
-Proper overhangs to the South to provide shading during Summer months.

The Pool House is a simple structure with East/West orientation with a shed roof rising to the South. This allows for maximum solar exposure when desired. The structure is set up for entertaining with a full kitchen, bath, living room and approximately 1000 square feet of Redwood decking. The landscaping is fabulous and ties all of the structures together. This is a classic example of taking an unusable hillside and creating magnificent areas of outdoor living space.
