Parsons Road Residence

-Hood River, Or, designed by others
-Approximately 3200 square feet
-Panelized stick built construction

Project started in the Winter of 2000 and was completed in the Fall of 2001. The house was designed by Tim Gendreau Design of Hood River. The house is located in the Stonegate West development on the West side of Hood River. The house overlooks a tranquil pond and shares common space park area with neighbors. The home is quite efficient due to the following:

-Stick built construction, panelized for higher efficiency
-Trussed roofing system
-All windows and doors are aluminum clad with Low E/Argon.
-Insulated slab on framing on the first floor.
-Hydronic heat on first floor.
-Hydronic heat and domestic heat sources: Natural Gas

The house sits at the end of Parsons Road in the Planned Unit Development, Stonegate. It is a 2 story house with additional living quarters designed for elderly parents. The framing consisted of preframed panels that were delivered to the site in the Winter and bolted together. A great way to frame in the inclemental weather of the Northwest. We designed and framed a grand front porch from salvage posts from the late Diamond Fruit Companies downtown packing plant. The exterior shake siding is panelized and prefinished for maximum efficiency. The house is solid and has a subtle architectural impact on the surroundings. We recently increased the interior living space by framing in upper and lower porches to create an additional bedroom and a music/library room. The Parsons Road Residence was one of our first custom new house builds. We are very proud of this project
